So we made it into the New Year. No horns, champagne, confetti or hoop-lah. Just a interferon injection and to bed early. Wow my life has gone on hold with my cancer treatment.
I think back to last year and we were excitedly making plans for our 10th anniversary trip, oblivious to the Cancer that was lurking beneath the surface. I am so glad we got a chance to enjoy that trip before I was diagnosed.
Last year was a bad one and this one is not starting too good, with 8 more months of treatment on the horizon and another 4 to 6 surgeries in store. But who knows what tomorrow brings, things can change in an instant. I know there is a reason for everything. I just wished I could figure it out.
Anyway the promise of a New Year is encouraging and hopeful! Happy New Year!
