Friday 22nd
Last night was pretty rough, Mike went to the pharmacy at 8:30 to fill my ani-nausea prescription (prochlorperazine). After reading the possible side effects ie:dizziness, heat stroke, vision changes, sore throat, inability to move eyes, muscle spasms... the list goes on. So I decided to get tough and do without. I have them as a back up in case I get violently ill. Anyway I am heading off to my 5th infusion, the walk down the hallway and trip up the elevator to the cancer center, seems to get longer and longer. Or maybe I am dragging my feet a little.

One week down for you already. I'm sure you heard yesterday that you need to make the pink afghan. So since I heard the original pink one wasn't turning out so well, I guess you'll have something to work on for a while. Of course, the baby isn't picky. She'll take blue if you like that one better. I'm sure Paulette will get her plenty of pink stuff (she already has). Just keep on fighting and staying strong, which I know you will. The 4 weeks will be over before you know it.
Dave
Your a trooper. I know the side effects of all drugs seem scary but don't suffer due to the "could happen" possibilities. Remember that those are few cases that have to be documented. Your chances are higher of not having those side effects. Keep your chin up...were all rooting for you.
hey mom, congrats on your first week done and out of the way. You are so strong and I am proud of you. I got your email this morning and you have to stop over doing it! I said you were strong but not invinsible..... Sounds like something you used to say to me right. :) Well I love you and I am praying for you. Oh yeah TGIF! Talk to you this weekend, love you!
You did it!! One week done and the rest hopefully will fly by. Have a great weekend, and yes Dave will have alot of "pink" :)
The other "ette"
Wow! What's happened to medicine nowadays? Side effects used to be minimal stuff... Now you have the choice of having the nausea (common side effect listed with most medicines) or you can take the prescription and wind up with heat stroke, vision changes, sore throat, and the inability to move eyes! Hmmm… My vote’s on the nausea!
If you want a good laugh, try looking up the side effects of popular medicines. Or watch the commercials on TV, they’re even better!
Take care,
MC
