So today was the best day yet. I called ahead of time to let the cancer center know I was coming. They had my "cocktail" ready when I got there, so the waiting time was minimal. I asked the nurse if they would up the saline so she put it on a 50/50 mix. My oncologist came by and gave me a prescription for anti nausea medicine. I told him I didn't need it. I have not had much nausea. He said with a grin, you will....I am not sure what that meant.Anyway I was home in 3 1/2 hours. I only had the cold chills for about and hour or so and the headaches have subsided. So all in all it worked out pretty good today.
I had a special surprise this evening. Joyce and Paulette came by, it was so good to see them both! Which would have been a great surprise in itself, but they also brought by frozen gourmet meals. Thank You So MUCH!
I miss you all.

Hi Lynette,
They gave us the full update this morning and I am so happy to hear you are in great spirits and doing well. Good for you. Keep your chin up and stay warm.
Let us know how the dinners are, we are all really curious.

Hi Lynette:
I tried sending this by email, but it got kicked back.
Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. The side effects will subside a little as you go along. I don't know about age however...I am 48 years old. I think it has a lot to do with a person's present physical condition. Try asking for 500 ml of saline also. The more the better I found. Are you able to go to the hospital in the afternoon. That's how I shceduled my appts. so I could sleep in and not have to rush around first thing in the morning.
Well, I have a nurse coming in for now to inject me for the first month. The nausea is a little bad at times, but I have been prescribed Stemetil for that. It seems to be helping. I have not reached the point of injecting myself yet...trying to put it off as soon as possible.
So, stay strong and positive and maybe try to visualize the Interferon as little Pac men gobbling up the cancer cells when you are recieving the treatment!!!
